OrigiNation

Founded in 1994, OrigiNation’s mission is to utilize innovative dance instruction, performance opportunities, and other effective development strategies to promote self-esteem, leadership development, physical fitness, and self-sufficiency among youth ages 2-18. While our programs are open to all youth, who meet our age requirements, we primarily serve African American and Latino children from low-income families. We started as a summer program with five students in the First Church of Roxbury basement. Today, we serve over 300 boys and girls through our primary programs. We operate out of our Jamaica Plain location and an additional 4,500 youth through our off-site domestic and international programs. For more info visit: www.originationinc.org
